aim of this project is to conduct comparative research on the history of religious education in Russia and Europe in modern times in recent history. Teaching history and culture of world religions in schools and universities is an important factor shaping the nation, as well as mutual respect representatives of various nations and religions. Therefore, the examination of the tradition of Christian education in the East and the West is of unquestionable value. These studies will help to realize one more important task: to show the intellectual potential of Christianity. This task is seen as important in the context of contemporary attempts to create a new model of education by returning to the process of creating a comprehensive knowledge of the world.
