"But to serve you Lord your God, and He will bless thy bread and thy waters, and will take sickness away from among you " ; 2 Lev. 23, 25
What a wonderful promise! Serve God - this alone is already a great joy. Besides, it is a privilege that God's blessings on all matters lies with us! Our everyday, ordinary life will be blessed if we ourselves will be consecrated to God. Our Lord Jesus took bread and blessed it, we also eat the bread of the blessed. Jesus blessed the water and turned it into wine! water we drink is better than wine that gladdens the people, because every drop of it contains a blessing of God. Blessing is the responsibility of the man of God and will always remain on it.
Even if we have only bread and water, may be due to God for this, because we are assured. Lies in the promise of our Lord: "He will be given bread and water it will not stop." With God at our table, not just ask for a blessing, but now we do in advance. Not only in the Lord's service - but also at the table has blessed us. God faithfully serve those who serve him well. This blessing of the table does not come from our merit, but by His grace. In fact, it is a blessing triple: assured us the grace to serve Him, by grace we are fed with bread and bless us in His grace.
